"328 more passengers have landed in New Delhi. #OperationKaveri moving steadily forward as around 3000 have reached India now," External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted.
The 18th batch of Indian evacuees was carried from Port Sudan to Jeddah, where they will be brought to India under Operation Kaveri. Sudan is currently reeling under the conflict of rival factions of military and para-military forces.
Another 'Operation Kaveri' flight carrying 231 Indian evacuees reached Gujarat's Ahmedabad on Tuesday from Saudi Arabia's Jeddah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said.
In a video shared by the official Twitter handle of the US State Department, Patel said, "In a multinational effort. The US government, in concert with allies and partners, has facilitated the departure of over 1000 US citizens from Sudan since the start of the violence."
"Glad to arrive at beautiful Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on an official visit. The visit is significant as it comes immediately after my trip to Jeddah last week to oversee #OperationKaveri, to which Saudi has been extending an outstanding support," MoS MEA V Muraleedharan tweeted.
"#OperationKaveri IAF C-130 J flight brings 17th batch of evacuees from Port Sudan to Jeddah. 122 Indians evacuated by this flight," tweeted Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
The airline operated its first evacuation flight from Jeddah to Kochi on April 30, 2023, evacuating 184 stranded Indian nationals who were stuck in Sudan.
"#OperationKaveri continues to bring Indians back home. Flight carrying 186 passengers touches down in Kochi," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Official Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted on Monday.
"9th outbound flight departs from Jeddah. 186 passengers onboard this flight are flying to Kochi," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted.
