The dead were the passengers of the car. The car was coming from Courtallam in the district when the accident happened. While five of the passengers died on the spot, one died in Pulliyangudi Government Hospital, the police said.
A woman died and 17 others were injured after a stage made of iron and wood collapsed at a Mata Jagran ceremony at Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi on Saturday midnight, said Delhi Police.
A total of 8 people, all residents of Adityapur, were there in the car at the time of the accident. Five died on the spot while one died during the treatment. Two survivors are critically injured.
As many as 515 people were rushed to hospital for examination, with 102 of them suffering from fractures. The statement said no one died in the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Kullu Ashutosh Garg said that in view of the inclement weather conditions in the regions, a red alert has been issued and the Yatra has been suspended for Sunday and Monday.
"After the collision, a fire broke out in the oil tanker and engulfed the truck as well. As a result, the truck driver was killed and the co-driver jumped from the vehicle to save his life," added the officials.
One died and the other four were injured when a Simrik Air chopper crashed in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 of Sankhuwasabha district on Friday, The Kathmandu Post reported
According to the SDOP, the tractor ferrying over two dozen persons overturned leaving two women dead on the spot while one died in the hospital. Around 20 persons were injured in the mishap, of which five are in critical condition.
