Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed his concern over the attack on former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, calling for an inquiry into the incident to restrict such kinds of incidents in the future.
Earlier this month, the Legislative Assembly passed a resolution demanding the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's special status under Article 370. The resolution was opposed by the BJP, which holds 29 seats in the assembly.
Speaking to reporters, CM Omar Abdullah said, "My intention in coming to Poonch today was to assess the ground reality after the elections. This is the first district in Jammu where we have met with officials, MLAs, and DDC chairpersons... I met various delegations as well."
