Amid nationwide mourning and protests surrounding the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah offered his full support to the concerned security officials to cease such attacks.

Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Government announced ex-gratia worth Rs 10 lakh each for the families of deceased victims and Rs 2 lakh for those who sustained serious injuries.
"I've directed the administration to facilitate traffic between Srinagar & Jammu allowing tourist vehicles to leave. This will have to be done in a controlled & organised way because the road is still unstable in places," Abdullah posted on X.

PM Modi thanked Trump for his support and said that India is determined to bring perpetrators and backers of this "cowardly and heinous terrorist attack" to justice.
J-K CM Omar Abdullah condemned the Pahalgam firing, calling it an abomination and expressing sympathy for the victims. Congress and NC leaders also denounced the attack and urged the government to conduct a thorough investigation and take swift action.
