The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought responses of the Centre Government on a plea seeking declaration as ultra vires the impugned Sections 19, 21 and 22 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 allegedly being against Article 21 of the Constitution of India.
The police further said that after the matter was reported to the police, a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered.
According to police officials, the accused, identified as Aftab Ahmad, was previously involved in arms smuggling, robbery and other offences in Rohini and Outer North Delhi.
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Police claimed to have busted a job fraud racket operating in as many as 17 states in India and arrested its mastermind from Bihar.
