"The rescue operation has been completed and restoration work has started. We will thoroughly investigate this incident and will ensure such incidents don't happen in future," said Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar expressed his anguish over Odisha's triple train tragedy that claimed the lives of 238 people and said that the railways should investigate and action should be taken against the perpetrators.

Speaking to ANI, the IG Operation of NDRF said, "The operation is still continuing. So far, the state government has announced 238 dead and more than 900 injured. Hopefully, by today evening, we should be able to close the operation".
