Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar expressed his anguish over Odisha's triple train tragedy that claimed the lives of 238 people and said that the railways should investigate and action should be taken against the perpetrators.
Speaking to ANI, the IG Operation of NDRF said, "The operation is still continuing. So far, the state government has announced 238 dead and more than 900 injured. Hopefully, by today evening, we should be able to close the operation".
"Saddened to hear about the tragic train accident in Odisha. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost their loved ones and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured," Virat Kohli wrote in his tweet.
"In the case of the terrible train accident that took place in the state of Odisha yesterday, the government there should take action and find the cause of the accident. Steps should be taken to prevent another accident. May God give strength to the family of those who died in the acciden

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has constituted a high-level IAS officers committee to visit the site of Coromandel Express train accident which has caused huge loss of human lives and injuries to the passengers.
"...extremely tragic train accident...I have to thank the local teams, local people and others who have worked overnight to save people from the wreckage...Railway safety should always be given the first preference...," said Naveen Patnaik.
