Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna filed an application for anticipatory bail in connection with the alleged obscene video case on Wednesday. The bail plea has been filed at the Bengaluru sessions court.
Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials have arrested two prime accused in connection with the JD(S) suspended MP Prajwal Revanna obscene video case, said police.
Further, targeting the Karnataka government over the completion of its one year in power, the state BJP president said that their achievement is a big zero.
"Prajwal Revanna may say whatever he wants, but eventually he will have to face the law once he lands," Shivakumar told reporters at the KPCC office in Bengaluru on Monday.
Amid the ongoing investigation into the alleged obscene video case, the accused MP of Hassan Prajwal Revanna, in a self-made video released on Monday, said that he will appear before the Special Investigative Team (SIT) on May 31 for questioning.
This comes after Karnataka minister G Parameshwara took a dig at External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's statement that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) received a request only on May 21 to impound the passport of Prajwal Revanna.
Siddaramaiah in his letter to the Prime Minister said that it is shameful that Prajwal Revanna fled the country on April 27, 2024, to Germany using his diplomatic passport shortly after news of his heinous actions emerged and just a few hours before the first FIR was filed against him.
Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra on Saturday demanded to hand over the investigation into the alleged obscene video case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
