Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Thursday said that measures are being taken by the local authorities to restore peace and normalcy in Haryana.
On the eleventh day of the ongoing Monsoon session of Parliament, Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta on Thursday sought to bring the violence in Haryana's Nuh district to the notice of the Upper House.
Paramilitary forces on Thursday conducted a flag march in Nuh after a curfew was imposed in the district following the clashes between the group in the state.
According to Haryana Government's Home Department order, "The State Government has decided to immediately shift the Battalion Headquarters of 2 IRB from Police Complex, Bhondsi to district Nuh to meet imminent operational exigencies of maintaining law and order, peace and security."
While addressing a press conference here in the national capital, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government has taken action over the incidents in Mewat.

“Strict and decisive action will be taken against anyone found guilty of involvement in the Nuh violence. No one will be spared. Justice for the victims and their families will be ensured,” Khattar said.
As the neighbouring state of Haryana witnessed violence in Nuh and Gurugram districts, Delhi Police on Wednesday went on alert mode, keeping a watchful eye on "sensitive" areas.
A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti passed the direction while hearing an intervening application filed in the matter. The protest rallies are being organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad in wake of Nuh violence.
