Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting at his residence on Monday, which was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.
The only discussions occurred between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs). This limited engagement became critical as a series of events unfolded, leading to Indian airstrikes on key Pakistani military installations.

Tilak Devasher, National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) member, on Wednesday, applauded the Indian Armed Forces on the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The sources said contact was also established with Russian NSA Sergei Shoigu, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Diplomatic Adviser to French President Emmanuel Bonne
Following the Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Army over terror hide outs in deep areas of Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered National Security Advisor Ajit Doval monitored frequently coordinted with him throughout the operation.
This decision comes in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, including one Nepalese national, and injured many.
