Norway Trade Minister Jan Christian Vestre hailed the India-EFTA free trade agreement signed on Sunday and said that issues like tariff cuts, included and excluded commodities; human rights clause and an investment chapter were among the major subjects of discussion.
Norway's Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre has said his India visit aims to enhance collaboration between European free trade partners and India, improve framework conditions for job creation, value creation, investments.
Norwegian Trade Minister Jan Christian Vestre and Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs Helene Budliger Artieda, commended growing ties between India and EFTA member countries.
Both the ministers discussed issues of bilateral interest including Green Ports and Shipping, training of seafarers, use of alternative fuels like green ammonia and hydrogen for futuristic shipping, and sustainable ship recycling.
