A Delhi Court has framed charges against six persons accused of burning a Muslim youth named Shahbaz alive at Khajuri Pushta in the Karawal Nagar area during the Delhi riots on February 25, 2020. His body was identified after DNA analysis.
A Delhi Court on Thursday acquitted six persons accused of rioting, vandalism, and destroying property during the Delhi riots of February 2020 in the Gokul Puri area, giving them the benefit of the doubt.
"Assam makes another leap towards peace. A warm welcome to the 1,182 members of various Adivasi insurgent outfits who abandoned the path of violence and joined Prime Minster Narendra Modi's mission of peace and progress in the North East," Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
"East Delhi, North East Delhi, and Shahdara districts are the entry points for Kanwariyas in Delhi. Therefore, 85 camps are being set up in these three districts so that Kanwariyas do not face any difficulties," the release stated.
Delhi Police on Tuesday filed two supplementary charge sheets in a Delhi court in two cases against former Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Councillor Tahir Hussain and other accused persons.
"101 Area is responsible for providing logistic support to all the formations and units that are deployed in the entire North East Region," the release stated.

"We received a call at around 3:30 am today that a man drowned. When police reached the spot they saw that the Traffic-sign recognition (TSR) and the front wheel of the auto-rickshaw fell into the ditch," Deputy Commissioner of Police, North-East Joy Tirkey told ANI.
