As per the Seismological Center in Surkhet District in the Western region of Nepal, two earthquakes measuring 4.8 and 5.9 magnitude with epicentre at Bajura's Dahakot were recorded overnight.
"Around 150-200 passengers were there in the train and all of them were safe. The fire was later extinguished," said Rajneesh Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM).
"A landslide was caused by torrential rain which led to the blocking of the road between Pahalgam and Chandanwari road which was later cleared by District administration Anantnag and Municipal council Pahalgam," an official said.
A massive forest fire erupted at Kailasagiri hill and it reached near the temple Srikalahasti in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday night.
After receiving the information, 16 fire tenders were immediately pressed into service, added the officials and no casualties have been reported so far.
