Projects worth Rs 2,700 pertaining to the development of sewerage infrastructure in the river Ganga basin were approved in the latest National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) meeting.
The award was received by G. Asok Kumar, the Director General of the Namami Gange project during a function at the 15th Conference of Parties (COP15) to the Convention on Biodiversity (CBD) in Montreal, Canada on World Restoration Day on Wednesday.
The top commission also sent notices to the Chief Secretary, the Government of Rajasthan, the Secretary, Higher Education, the Union Ministry of Education, and the Chairperson, of the National Medical Commission, calling for reports.
The impugned Regulations were notified on 04.11.2019 and have restricted the maximum number of attempts to four to clear the first professional university exams. Consequently, the names of these students had been struck off from their respective Medical colleges/universities.
The Supreme Court on Friday asked the Centre and National Medical Commission (NMC) to find a solution for those medical students who could not complete their clinical training in foreign countries like China, Ukraine etc, due to circumstances arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic.
