Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said there were 10,145 vacant posts in Border Security Force (BSF) as on July 1, 2024, while 7372 new posts were created in the BSF in the last five years.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that more than 250 people have been evacuated to a safer location and 300 personnel have been deployed for the rescue operations after a landslide hit the Meppadi area of Kerala's Wayanad on Tuesday.
