The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested one more accused in connection with the 2019 Tamil Nadu Ramalingam murder case linked with the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) terror outfit, the agency said on Thursday.
The case relates to the illegal immigration to the US of Shubham Saini, a resident of Naraingarh, Haryana. In January this year, the NIA mentioned that Shubham Saini was apprehended by the US authorities at the border and deported to India.
Bhargob Gogoi and Sumu Gogoi, both residents of Dibrugarh district, Assam, were apprehended for their alleged involvement in the conspiracy to plant an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Dispur Last Gate in Guwahati.
