Congress veteran Siddaramaiah was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for the second time today and DK Shivakumar took the oath as his Deputy. Eight MLAs took the oath as Ministers in the new Karnataka Cabinet today.
A Congress delegation, including Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, met Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot at Raj Bhavan to stake claim to form the government in Karnataka.
Preparations are underway at Bengaluru's Sri Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, where the swearing-in ceremony of the new Karnataka government is likely to be held.
