"Today, we have been talking about an even stronger commitment and about the possibilities of reviving the peace process. PM Modi and myself discussed the unique position of India in the so-called Global South," the Austrian Chancellor said.
PM Modi arrived in Vienna on Tuesday evening for a day-long State visit under the second leg of his two-nation tour. He was in Russia on a two-day visit where he met President Vladimir Putin.
During his official visit to the European nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Austrian companies to invest in India, to strengthen the economic ties between the two nations, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.

Lauding the ties shared between Austria and India, Chancellor Karl Nehammer on Wednesday emphasised that it is a relationship of trust that began in the 1950s. He stated that it is the "concern over the development of the geopolitical situation" that united both nations.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra and other officials were present in the meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a one-day State visit to Austria, received a Ceremonial Reception at the Federal Chancellery in Vienna on Wednesday. Austria's Chancellor Karl Nehammer accompanied him.
