World No.1 javelin star Neeraj Chopra is likely to return to action at the Lausanne Diamond League 2023 in Switzerland on June 30 according to Olympics.com.
It is the 62nd edition of the event and will serve as the final selection trial for Asian Games to be held this year from September 23 to October 8 in China.
India's ace athlete Neeraj Chopra and steeplechase runner Avinash Sable will not compete at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2023 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from June 15 to June 19.
In a social media post on Twitter, Chopra wrote: "Injuries are part of the journey, but it's never easy. Recently, I sustained a muscle strain during my training. Following a medical evaluation, me and my team have decided to avoid any risks which can aggravate the injury."

Neeraj Chopra, who is scheduled to compete in multiple World Athletics - Gold Level tournaments in June, intends to train at Kuortane Olympic Training Centre in Finland during this time.
