Army columns equipped with Engineer Stores are assisting NDRF, SDRF, IN, Coast Guard in rescue operation and assisting civil administration and police in crowd management and security.
Teams including Army, Navy, Air Force, NDRF and Fire Brigade conducted a search operation throughout the night to find the victims in Macchu river after the bridge collapsed.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has dispatched five teams on Sunday for a rescue operation after more than 60 people died in a cable bridge collapse in Gujarat's Morbi city.
The National Disaster Response Force has already reached the spot and rescue operations are underway after the unfortunate incident which claimed the lives of over 60 persons.
"More than 60 people have died. 17 people are admitted to the hospital at the moment. The Chief Minister is coming. The incident took place at around 6.40 pm," the Minister told ANI.
As many as 35 people have lost their lives so far after a cable bridge collapsed on the Machchhu river in Gujarat's Morbi on Sunday, state Minister Brijesh Merja said, who is present at the incident spot.
