A total of 241 people on the Boeing 787-8, including 12 crew members, have been reported dead in the crash, as confirmed by the airline's post-midnight report on Friday.
Speaking to reporters at the site, NDRF official Hariom Gandhi said, "Our team is on standby and working. Our six teams are working on the ground. Wait for some time... We cannot give any numbers until the site is completely cleared."
NDRF Inspector Vinay Kumar said that the specialised force has recovered 81 bodies so far and has deployed seven teams to help with the emergency situation.
