Continuing the crackdown against drug trafficking, the Srinagar Police has booked six infamous drug peddlers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS Act).
The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.
The action was carried out under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in connection with a case registered under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Magam.
Amritsar Rural Police on Wednesday recovered 23 kilograms of heroin in Devi Dass Pura village, a police officer said on Wednesday, adding that the hunt is on to nab the accused.
