A meeting of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders was called at the residence of NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Sunday and later Ajit Pawar along with other party leaders reached the Raj Bhavan.
"Centre's and state politics revolved around my father (Sharad Pawar) and brother (NCP leader Ajit Pawar). The BJP is so obsessed with them that Maharashtra's politics does not work without them.
"Ajit Pawar did not attend the meeting because he is not an office bearer of these specific wings and that's why today he was not even invited. The ones who were called into the meeting were present," Praful Patel said.
