The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has chargesheeted one active Naxal cadre in the case relating to the murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ratan Dubey by armed cadres of the terror group in Chhattisgarh.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against a naxal cadre in a case relating to a conspiracy to damage and block a road in Chhattisgarh with the intent to kill police personnel and loot their arms.
A head constable was stabbed to death by an unidentified accused in the jurisdiction area of Gadiras Police Station in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, on Sunday.
The incident occurred in the Dhaudai police station area, Narayanpur Superintendent Of Police Prabhat Kumar said, adding that the officials reached the spot and the search operation was intensified.
Addressing the concerns of Naxalism in Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday accused the INDI alliance of sheltering the infiltrators in the Naxal affected area.
Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan confirmed the incident, stating that a Naxal operative was killed during the confrontation and a weapon was recovered from the site.
