The exchange of fire began following a joint anti-Naxal operation launched by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday.
Sharing information, Bastar Inspector General Sundarraj P said, "One jawan injured during an IED blast planted by Maoists towards Bedmakoti. The injured soldier is being given first aid at the District Hospital in Narayanapur."
Bastar IG Sundarraj P told ANI, "...Bodies of 3 male Naxalites have been recovered. An INSAS, .12 bore pistol recovered from the encounter site. One of the killed Naxalites has been identified as Sudhir. He had a reward of Rs 25 lakh on his head. The other 2 are being identified".
