The Indian Army conducted a curtain-raiser event at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi on Friday for the upcoming Tri-Services Academia Technology Symposium.
According to officials, the incident took place on June 25, when the four fishermen -- N Nambu Prakash (23), N Nambu Gunalan (25), K Nambu (24), and S Sathyaraj (24), all residents of Puthuroda in the Rameswaram island area -- ventured out to fish in the Gulf of Mannar in a traditional count
"The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) chaired by Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh today accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for 10 capital acquisition proposals amounting to approx. Rs 1.05 lakh crore through indigenous sourcing," the Defence Minister posted on X.

According to a Defence officials, "British navy officials are expected to arrive here by the end of this week to carry out repairs and take the aircraft back to its base."
