The Indian Navy will host a Half Marathon race in New Delhi on October 6 this year to strengthen the Navy's ties with civil society and raise awareness about the Navy's vital role in safeguarding the nation's maritime security and interests.
Two Indian Navy warships are being built in Russia and are likely to be commissioned by the end of this year, after getting delayed due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war there.

The 19 fishermen included nine from Mayiladuthurai, four from Pudukottai, six from Karaikal in Puducherry state. All of them went fishing in the sea in two boats on March 6.

During the exercise, validation of the effectiveness of coastal security mechanisms while dealing with asymmetric threats emanating from the sea was undertaken.
