On April 15, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a prosecution complaint (chargesheet) against top Congress members Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in connection with the money laundering case involving the National Herald.

Congress leader and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday stated that the people of the country do not believe that Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi will acquire any property, as the Nehru family have donated all their assets to the country.
Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday hit out at Congress over the National Herald case stating that it "is an open and shut case involving corruption and money laundering".
The protestors tried to gather outside the ED office here, and the police present at the spot warned them to vacate the place. Later on, the police used water cannons to disperse the protestors.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Friday questioned why the Congress party is trying to obstruct the investigation if it has done nothing wrong, in relation to the ongoing National Herald case.
"It seems that Anurag Thakur is the one feeling 'sensationalised' by the National Herald, not the Congress. If people are feeling agitated or alarmed, let them explain the reasons. The truth should come out before the public," Rathore said.
The protestors climbed the train deck and began chanting slogans of "ED-shahi nahi chalegi! (ED rule will not be tolerated!)". Police officials entered the scene and walked the protestors away from the rail track, clearing the way.
"Congress party time and again tries to launch and fails - I am talking about National Herald. The entire ecosystem of the Congress party started to feel the sensation of Kapkapahat after listening to the name National Herald, and it's obvious because they have been caught stealing again.
