During the first day of the two-day-long Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national executive meeting in New Delhi on Monday, attendees discussed a nine-point political resolution, moved by Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, sources said.
It was speculated ahead of the meeting that Nadda, whose three-year term as the party chief (after he succeeded Amit Shah) is scheduled to conclude on January 20 this year, would get another term as the party president in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
Sources said there was a comprehensive discussion on the reports. It was also said a roadmap will be prepared based on these reports to ensure victory in these poll-bound states.
According to BJP sources, the three resolutions of the National Executive meeting encompass political, economic and international affairs. The strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in nine states slated this year and the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year will be discussed.
