In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Chief Farooq Abdullah on Monday voiced strong condemnation of Pakistan, emphasising the need for action that prevents such attacks in the future, questioning the effectiveness of past measures.

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader Sheikh Bashir Ahmad issued a scathing condemnation, calling it "a big conspiracy" targeting the people and economy of Jammu and Kashmir.
"There are four pillars of democracy. Parliament, the Judiciary, and the executive. If a wrong law is passed, then we can go to the Supreme Court and present our points, and they will listen to us. A Member of Parliament making such a statement is wrong," said Farooq Abdullah.
After heavy rainfall triggered landslides in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah expressed deep concern over the loss of lives and extensive damage to infrastructure, and urged the Centre to provide assistance and compensation.
