Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented a handcrafted sandalwood box with 'das danam' to US President Joe Biden during his first state visit to the US on Wednesday (local time).
The US State Department could make the announcement on Thursday that a small number of Indians and other foreign workers on H-1B visas will be able to renew those visas in the US.
Chief Executive at General Atomics Global Corporation, Vivek Lall, on Wednesday (local time) said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State visit to the US is "historic" and a "watershed moment" as India is all set to purchase the Predator drones manufactured by the company.
Taking to Twitter, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "A fruitful meeting between PM @narendramodi & investor, author and co-founder of hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates @RayDalio."
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's accomplishments both for the Sikh community and the country, Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, a member of the Sikh community, expressed strong support for PM Modi, stating that the Sikh community stands behind him due to his significant contributions.
"India is really working hard to fight terrorism. And we can see it back home and every place else. There are very few people who are kind to us," Dhaliwal said as he was heading to the 9/11 Memorial.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said, "Landed in New York City. Looking forward to the programmes here including interaction with thought leaders and the Yoga Day programme tomorrow, 21st June."
