The Narcotics Cell of Pune Customs on Wednesday arrested four people and seized over 1 kg of the drug worth Rs 5 crore in two separate cases, officials said.
"Three terrorists with narcotics and weapons in their possession were injured along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Karmarha sector by Indian Army troops when they were trying to infiltrate. Search operation is going on in the area," officials said.
Inspectors from the Khalid Port Customs Centre of the Sharjah Ports Customs and Free Zones Authority (SPCFZA) have successfully thwarted a series of nine smuggling attempts, seizing an astounding 60.216 kilograms of narcotics and 14,378 narcotic tablets during the first third of 2023.
The Public Relations Officer, Punjab Frontier, BSF in a statement said that the gross weight of the recovered consignment of suspected narcotics is approximately 2.7 kg.

"On May 26, during a search operation by BSF, one packet of suspected drugs weighing approximately 1 kg was recovered from an isolated bet in Kori Creek about 6 km from BOP Koteshwar," the PRO statement added.
