The Border Security Force in a joint operation with Punjab Police recovered a drone along with narcotics on the outskirts of Daoke village in Amritsar district, the BSF said in a statement on Saturday.
In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Punjab Police recovered a contraband item suspected to be heroin from a field in the Gurdaspur district on Wednesday.
Narcotics-trained sniffer dogs were introduced at Vishakhapatnam Railway Station, resulting in the recovery of 12 kgs of cannabis, on the first day, an official statement issued by Railways said.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted an international network involved in illicit trafficking of Khat leaves into India, along with seuzure of over 6.9 kilograms of Khat leaves, officials said on Monday.
According to an official release from Assam Rifles, "Assam Rifles, along with Special Narcotics CID Crime, Aizawl, Mizoram recovered 9 soap cases Heroin worth Rs 47,34,000 in General Area Bawngkawn South, Aizawl, Mizoram and apprehended two individuals on 27 November."
Ahead of the foggy season in winter, Intelligence agencies raised concern after the Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted more than two dozen Pakistani drones in the last fortnight that entered Indian territory to drop narcotics and arms.

The discovery of the smuggled contraband came to light during a routine check of police team from Police Station Udhampur, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Raghubir Choudhary.
