The three accused, including expelled BJP leader's son Pulkit Arya, in the Ankita Bhandari murder case on Thursday refused to undergo narco and polygraph tests after filing the charge sheet.
The Court of Judicial Magistrate Kotdwar is scheduled to hear the application of one of the accused in the murder case of Ankita Bhandari in Uttarkhand on December 22 as he has sought time of ten days to give consent for the Narco and Polygraph tests.
"SIT almost completed probe. We'll file the chargesheet this week. We've applied for the NARCO test of the 3 accused, we'll do it if the court permits," said Deputy Inspector General (DIG) P Renuka, SIT Incharge.
The Kotdwar Court of Uttarakhand is scheduled to hear the plea seeking permission to conduct the Narco test of all the three persons accused in the killing of 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari on Monday, in-charge of the SIT probing the case P Renuka Devi informed.
The Uttarakhand Police on Sunday said that the investigation into the Ankita Bhandari murder case is almost complete with just the Narco tests of the accused remaining.
A team of four including two senior scientists and two supporting staff along with the case investigating officers arrived at Central Jail No.4 for a 'post-test interview' with Aaftab at around 11.30 am, and the exercise was on.
Further, the DNA report of Shradha Walkar is expected next week, they said, adding that specific bones recovered from the forest so far will be analysed and ascertained before the doctors examine and give a confirmation about her death.
Jail Authorities have deployed additional guards outside Aaftab's barrack, after the attack on the Jail Van ferrying Aaftab outside the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Delhi's Rohini.
After the narco analysis test of Aaftab Poonawalla, accused in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, was successfully completed on Thursday, a four-member-team will visit the Central jail tomorrow for the 'Post-Narco Test Interview'.
Aaftab was brought by Delhi Police from Tihar jail where he is currently lodged, to the Rohini hospital around 9 am for a narco test after a Delhi court gave permission for the analysis.
