Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday directed the officials to make an action plan to provide drinking water to the public with ease and to revive the rapidly drying water sources and to ensure adequate power supply.

A bench of Justices PS Narasimha and Sanjay Karol also sought Uttrakhand govt response on the plea challenging HC order over the shifting of HC out of Nainital.
Raising concerns over the Nainital forest fire, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday said that the the officers who are responsible for the Uttarakhand forest fire will be fixed.
The meeting was held in Haldwani, following a massive fire that broke out in the Ladiyakata area of the Nainital Air Force Centre on Friday and continued for over 36 hours, sweeping through dense forests in the mountainous region.
"The forest fires are a challenge for us. This is a big fire. We are working for all the essential needs. We have asked for help from the Army. Army helicopters are also spraying water in the affected area," Dhami said while talking to ANI.
A forest fire has been sweeping through the dense foliage in the mountains surrounding Nainital over the last 36 hours, an official said, adding that the Indian Air Force (IAF) has deployed its personnel and MI-17 choppers in a dousing operation in the area.
