Rescue operations are underway at the SLBC tunnel in Nagarkurnool, where eight workers remain trapped after a portion of the tunnel collapsed on February 22.
Relatives of Gurpreet Singh, one of the eight workers stuck inside, have urged the government to expedite efforts, emphasising that he is the sole breadwinner of his family.
Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy assured that the rescue and relief operations would be completed within two to three days, and the tunnel works would resume in two to three months.
