Nagaland Chief Minister and leader of the NDPP party, Neiphiu Rio said that the NDPP and BJP as an alliance partner with the seat sharing of 40:20 will emerge victorious in the ensuing election.
After the withdrawal of candidature by a Congress candidate, the Nagaland Assembly election will witness a total of 183 candidates in the fray for 60 seats, Chief Electoral Officer, V Shashank Shekhar said on Saturday.
Among the crorepati candidates, Nagaland Chief Minister and National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate from Northern Angami - II seat Neiphiu Rio has emerged as one among the richest candidates contesting in this election with declared assets of Rs 46.95 crore.
Ahead of the Nagaland assembly polls on February 27, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Akuluto assembly constituency in Nagaland Kazheto Kinimi has won the elections uncontested.
