The Union government has informed the Nagaland government that the Protected Area Regime has been relaxed for the Hornbill Festival. The Hornbill Festival is an annual 10-day cultural celebration held from December 1 to 10 in Nagaland.
Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Minister K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, speaking on Sunday about preparations ahead of Cyclone Ditwah, said that approximately 56,000 hectares of farmland have been flooded in the state.
India Meteorological Department on Saturday issued a red alert in parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry as Cyclone Ditwah approaches closer to the coastal areas.
"Upgradation of the railway track between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur will also be done. Work on the second entry at Jaisalmer station will also be one. Coaching depot will also be started in Jaisalmer," he added.
Speaking to reporters at the station, Minister Vaishnaw said, "Today, from Jaisalmer, the Swarn Nagari Express started for Delhi. This is a great service which will connect Jaisalmer to Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur."
