BJP's Rachna Reddy comments on Dy CM Pawan Kalyan's statement on the need for multiple languages in education and questions Tamil Nadu's stance on Hindi.
"Especially, the announcement that any land purchased in a woman's name will receive a 1 per cent rebate... It is a super budget," Selvaperunthagai said.
"I do not understand why some criticize Sanskrit. Why do Tamil Nadu politicians oppose Hindi while allowing their movies to be dubbed in Hindi for financial gain? They want money from Bollywood but refuse to accept Hindi--what kind of logic is that?" Kalyan asked while addressing the part
"India needs multiple languages, including Tamil, not just two. We must embrace linguistic diversity--not only to maintain the integrity of our nation but also to foster love and unity among its people," Kalyan said while addressing party workers at an event in the Kakinada district.
He said the funds for education and rural development have been stopped for Tamil Nadu by the central government. Asserting that discrimination against Tamil Nadu must end, the Congress MP added that many projects were being stopped.
"I have my sources. I believe (the corruption) is over a thousand crore (rupees). Senthil Balaji is involved in every single scam. He is the kingpin. Supreme Court has questioned if he has the moral right to stay a Minister," Annamalai told reporters.
Further, he stated that Tamil Nadu ranked first in the industry and education sector, further stating that it also concentrated on schools and higher education.
Following Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC) and liquor-supplying companies in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Minister V Senthil Balaji denied the charges and stated that the state government would face this legally.
