BJP MP Locket Chatterjee alleged on Saturday that women are scared under the Congress government in Karnataka. She was there in Belagavi as a member of the fact-finding team of the BJP for the incident of a 42-year-old woman being allegedly assaulted and paraded naked.
Amid the BJP planning a nationwide protest over the stripping and parading incident at Belagavi, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said all culprits involved in the incident have been arrested and none will be spared at any cost.
"BJP's rule in Karnataka witnessed multiple instances of violence against women, but BJP National President J P Nadda has forgotten this to politically target us. Unfortunately, he is using a recent incident of violence against a woman in Belagavi for politics," Siddaramaiah posted on X.

Tribal leader and former Union Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday took oath as chief minister of Chhattisgarh at an event in Raipur which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, senior BJP leaders and chief ministers of other states.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to be held at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade ground in the state capital Bhopal on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and others will be present at the ceremony.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also paid their tributes to the fallen Jawans.
