Tribal leader and former Union Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday took oath as chief minister of Chhattisgarh at an event in Raipur which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, senior BJP leaders and chief ministers of other states.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to be held at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade ground in the state capital Bhopal on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and others will be present at the ceremony.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also paid their tributes to the fallen Jawans.
Tiwari was taken to the judiciary magistrate on Tuesday after being arrested on December 2. The 2016-batch officer currently posted in Madurai was arrested after being chased on the Dindigul-Madurai highway for eight kilometres.
