As the constituency of Murshidabad goes to polls on Tuesday, a small village, Suryanagar Colony near the Indo-Bangladesh border, continues to suffer with lack of proper facilities.
Known for its silk weaving industry Murshidabad is going to polls in the upcoming third phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 7 along with three other Parliamentary constituencies Jangipur, Malda Uttar and Malda Dakshin in West Bengal.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged the migrant voters who had come to the state not to leave without voting in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, alleging that if they don't exercise their right, the Bharatiya Janata Party will take away their citizenship.
