As per the police statement, the disposed off body parts of the deceased have been recovered from Gulariha under the police station Rampur Kalan area of Sitapur. The deceased is the wife of one of the accused, Pankaj Maurya.
The Maharashtra Police on Wednesday said they had registered the case based on Shraddha Walkar's letter in 2020 and investigated it but the case was closed after the complainant gave a written statement to withdraw the case.
The victim, a class-12 student, lived with her mother and younger brother in a rented house in the same area where the accused lives.
