The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea seeking to stay the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, scheduled to be held on December 4.
Ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls, all arrangements have been made in regard to security and surveillance by the Delhi Police, said Special CP (Law & Order) Sagar Preet Hooda.
The civic polls are seeing a contest between the BJP, which currently holds the reins of the civic bodies in the national capital, the AAP and the Congress.
Ahead of MCD elections on December 4, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said that the housing scheme under 'Jahan Jhuggi Wahan Makaan' will benefit around 10 lakh people in Delhi.
Shiv Shankar, the personal assistant of Aam Admi Party (AAP) MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi, was granted bail in an alleged bribery case. Tripathi is accused of bribery for a Municipal Corporation of Delhi election ticket.

"In less than a weeks time, when the Municipal Corporation of Delhi allowed applications by Restaurants and Eateries to enable them to undertake Open Air Dining in terraces and open spaces attached to them, 200 establishments across the Capital have been granted licenses," the statement read
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Matiala assembly constituency Gulab Singh Yadav was allegedly thrashed by his party workers on Monday for selling Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections tickets, claimed the BJP.
Addressing a press conference in the national capital on Monday, the BJP leader alleged that AAP leader Bindu Shriram was told to pay Rs 80 lakh for getting a ticket to contest the December 4 polls to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
