The Mumbai Police has sent notice to Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Nitesh Rane to appear before them on Friday in connection with the Disha Salian death case.
"Both accused confessed their roles in the crime and the police did a scene recreation from the night of the accident. With a similar sequence to the actual accident night, the scene was recreated from CJ House Worli to Sea Link Worli," said police.
"Yesterday evening, under the Gangapur Police Station area, a woman died after she was hit by a speeding car. Police have registered a case of culpable homicide. A 51-year-old man was driving the car under the influence of alcohol...After lodging the case, the accused was taken into custody
On the arrest of the accused in the Mumbai-Worli hit-and-run case three days after the incident by the Mumbai Police, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut said that efforts to save the accused started from day one.
Earlier, Police arrested Rajendra Singh Bidawat and the father of the main accused, Rajesh Shah for their alleged involvement in the Worli hit-and-run case that took place on Sunday (July 7).
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m today. The accused fled the scene, leaving the officers injured. One police personnel succumbed to injuries and the other is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
