After the Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary moved the motion to discuss the Union Budget, Opposition MPs continued to demand a discussion on the India-US trade interim framework.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Monday said that BJP MP Tejasvi Surya was detained by police during a metro fare hike protest, as he was asked to hold his demonstration at Freedom Park rather than near the Jayanagar Metro station in Bengaluru.
However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, Madan Rathore, told ANI that some people are opposing the idea because of "not reading complete history", and highlighted that Savarkar has "suffered a great deal" and had continued to fight for the country without losing hope.
"How the Congress planned to snatch away papers from the PM when he comes to the House. Parliament is not a place for 'gundagardi'. But when the Congress came to it, we acted with restraint. There is a limit to everything," Rijiju added.
The decision was taken during a meeting of INDIA bloc floor leaders held at the office of Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in the Parliament House complex. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was also present at the meeting.
