Initially, Chief Minister Yadav visited the Pashupatinath Temple and offered prayers in accordance with traditional rituals. He performed worship of Lord Pashupatinath, enshrined as a silver idol in a palaki within the temple complex.

During the visit, CM Yadav took a dig at the previous Congress-led governments, alleging that they neglected the site and delayed the disposal of toxic waste accumulated from the tragic incident.
It is noteworthy that last year, in accordance with the directives of the court, the Madhya Pradesh government successfully disposed of the toxic waste from the Union Carbide factory site after four decades.
