Pakistan’s Gojra Saddar police on Tuesday registered two cases against 158 people for protesting against inflated power bills and blocking the M-4 at two points between Gojra and Toba Tek Singh interchanges on Monday, Dawn reported.
As many as six people, including two women died and five were injured after a passenger van fell off a bridge while travelling on the route connecting the Thakot area of Battagram to Hazara Motorway in Pakistan’s Mansehra, according to a Rescue 1122 official, Dawn reported.
As per The Tribune Express, the passengers, belonging to various parts of Punjab, were returning from a religious festival in Bhurban. The accident happened near the Bastal Mor on the motorway after one of the bus tyres busted midway.
Due to a massive landslide on Arakot-Chinva motorway in the Mori village (located on the borders of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh) on Saturday, parts of the road collapsed, according to the district administration.
Shehbaz Sharif made the statement while addressing a ceremony after laying foundation stone of development projects, including Faisalabad Satyana bypass linking Motorway-3.
As per the motorway police, the incident took place near the Burhan Interchange due to low visibility. The rescue teams soon after the incident, reached the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.

The bus which hit two other cars and a truck on the opposite track, veered off the road due to a tyre burst, while the wedding party was going back to Lahore from Islamabad, according to the police.
