Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rain for the last 24 hours. The city and the suburbs are expected to get moderate to heavy spells of rain today, as per the India Meterlogocial Department (IMD) and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department forecast moderate to intense spells of rain very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mumbai, Sindhudurg and Ghat areas of Pune today.

"In the next 48 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at most places in the state and heavy to very heavy rain is likely at one or two places," said IMD Shimla.
