Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 20 (ANI): The much-awaited trailer of Taapsee Pannu's 'Shabaash Mithu' is finally out and the actor looks fierce as she steps into the shoes of former Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj.
The Sri Lanka tour will be the first series for the India women's team in the post-Mithali Raj era, as she recently announced her retirement from all forms of cricket.
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 8 (ANI): Describing Mithali Raj as "truly a legend", actor Taapsee Pannu recalled the contributions of the cricketer on the day she announced her retirement and said she "changed the game of cricket where the presence of women in concerned".
Mithali is retiring as the leading run-scorer in the women's ODIs. She represented India in 232 matches, scoring 7805 runs at an average of 50.68. In Tests, Mithali has smashed 699 runs in 12 matches with a brilliant average of 43.68. She also has 2364 runs in 89 T20Is.
